My kiddy transplant is a success and both kidneys are browning and maturing very nicely. Im still having trouble writing a letter to the family of the donor. Its really tough be caught it was a 2 year old or younger. I can tell you thin though. The kid loved chocolate. Whenever someone receives a transplant a small part of their personality is also transplanted. It very weird. The doctors see it all of the time with no explanation.
I am very close to my dry weight and my weight lighting limit has been increased to 10 pounds. For safeties sake. Small core exercises for now. Lots of walking.

Kidney Transplant

Hey there everyone. So now I have officially received my kidney transplant from a infant :( pray for the family.
But I have been waiting 6 years for this day to come. It is a bittersweet sorrow. I feel joy and blessed to have kidneys that are not damaged in anyway. And I got both of them because the kidneys started at 3cm each. They are now 6cm big each (so growing pains will suck) But this will be worth it once they are fully mature and working properly. I will for the first time in my life have two and a half working kidneys for the rest of my life.

I wanted to make this portrait to convey the love and support that unconditional love can come from the least likely of places or living beings.
Gizmo is a Good Citizen, and even though he does not like to show he affection is public he still is very affectionate when he is the only one with me in the room at the time or his leash goes on. Other than those two times he does not pay attention to me or shower me with love or snuggles.
